What We Build With
Minnesota's climate is brutal on decks. The freeze-thaw cycle that runs October through April cracks wood boards, heaves poorly-set footings, and eats steel fasteners alive. Every material decision we make is filtered through that lens first.
Composite is our most recommended decking surface — the warranties are real, the maintenance is minimal, and modern profiles have gotten genuinely beautiful. We carry TimberTech and Trex lines and can pull current samples to your site visit so you can see the colors in your actual lighting.
Composite Decking
TimberTech · Trex · Azek
The best choice for Minnesota's climate. Composite boards don't split, warp, or rot through freeze-thaw cycles, and they hold their color without annual staining. TimberTech carries a 25-year fade and stain warranty. Zero maintenance beyond an annual rinse.
Western Red Cedar
Clear Cedar · #1 Grade
Cedar brings a warmth that composite can't fully replicate — tight grain, natural oils, and a color that weathers beautifully. It does require sealing every 1–2 years to stay looking sharp, but for homeowners who love the look of real wood, nothing beats it.
Pressure-Treated Lumber
Ground Contact · Premium PT
The most budget-friendly option that still does the job. PT lumber is structurally excellent and handles moisture and insects without issue. We use it for substructure on all builds and as a decking surface when budget is the primary concern.
Multi-Level & Complex Builds
Any Material · Custom Engineering
Multiple levels, wraparound designs, cantilevers over slopes — complex builds are where we separate ourselves from the competition. Minnesota's varied lot topography means many homes need creative solutions, and we have the engineering background to execute them.

No stock photos. No staging. This is an actual Silverpines build — photos and video straight from the job site.

Full resurfacing of an existing elevated deck — stripped down to the frame, rebuilt with TimberTech composite decking in a warm natural tone. The double stair system was completely rebuilt from the stringers up. Westbury aluminum railing installed throughout, code-compliant post spacing, and a clean transition to the yard.
The homeowner wanted something that looked high-end, needed zero maintenance, and held up through Minnesota winters. That's exactly what TimberTech + aluminum delivers — 25-year fade warranty, no sealing, no staining, no rotting.

You receive an itemized proposal: materials, labor, permit costs, and timeline. The number on the quote is the number you pay. Nothing gets added after signing.
Permits & Materials
We submit the permit application, order materials, and coordinate delivery to your site. You do nothing. We handle the paperwork and the pre-build logistics.
Build & Inspect
Construction starts. Most decks are done in 3–7 build days. We schedule and pass inspection, then hand you the keys to your new outdoor space.
Why Us
Why Silverpines Over the Big Guys
Large deck companies run crews. You talk to a salesperson, then a project manager, then someone shows up to build who has never seen your yard before. When something goes sideways, you're in a phone tree trying to find someone accountable. That's not how Silverpines works.
Mitch is a licensed Minnesota contractor with deep familiarity with local building codes across the west metro — Eden Prairie, Chanhassen, Shakopee, Prior Lake, Minnetonka, and the rest. That means permit applications that don't get kicked back, inspections that pass first time, and footings that are set right for local frost depths.
The zero-headache promise is real: one point of contact, one written quote, one crew doing the work. If something comes up during the build, Mitch calls you directly. No middlemen, no runaround.
